Andrea & Nick Gonzalez were married at the WildCat Run Golf & Country Club in Estero, FL.  Andrea got ready at her family’s house in the Golf Resort’s community.  Their ceremony was held on the grounds of Wild Cat Run, and their reception followed inside at the Club House. Andrea’s dress was a Maggie Sottero purchased at Loretta’s Bridal Boutique in Bonita Springs, FL.  Jamie Lyn Cintron’s team Shamika Colon and LaTonya Bykes did all of the hair and makeup.  Andrea and her mother had their makeup applied with an airbrush – which I highly recommend.  The oil base holds up a little better in the Florida heat – especially during the warmer months.  Although, everyone’s makeup held up beautifully throughout the night.  Petals and Presents arranged the flowers.  Mikkelsen’s Pastry Shop made the cake and cupcakes.

Andrea tells us a little bit about how she met her husband….

I met Nick when I moved to Miami for graduate school a few years ago.  I really didn’t know anyone in Miami, so when a friend of a friend invited me to go to a Halloween party, I jumped at the opportunity to socialize with people outside of class, and went onto Ebay to find the cheapest costume in my size (turned out to be a bumble bee costume).  Nick was one of the hosts of the party, and he caught my eye almost as soon as I got there.  I quickly noticed the handsome guy dressed up as a gladiator who had a loud voice and good sense of humor.  After we were introduced to each other, we wound up hanging out with each other for the rest of the night.  The next day, we went out on our first date.  Then three and a half years later, we had the wedding of our dreams.

Ashlee & Michael tied the knot in the Moonlight Garden at the Edison Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida.  The couple decided on a first-look almost two hours before their ceremony.  This gave them a lot more time to take pictures.  After the ceremony, there was some time for sunset photos before heading over to the Tarpon Point Marina for more pictures, and dinner with family and friends.

I had the opportunity recently to photograph CBS affiliate WINK-TV Meteorologist Joey Sovine.  Joey has a busy schedule — so I only had minutes to get the shot I wanted.  I couldn’t use the television studio to set up my studio strobes, because it’s being used most hours of the day for live broadcasts on two television stations — so here’s how I did it.

I set my studio lights up outside in the parking lot (just a cell phone shot here), and brought Joey outside for a quick photo shoot.  Here’s the original photo:

After lighting and photographing Joey outside,  I snapped a photo the TV set between newscasts, and inserted Joey in later.  The images were taken with a Canon 5DmkII and a mix of Einstein 640 and Photogenic Strobes.  Pocketwizard Mini, Flex, and PowerMC2 units were the radio triggers.

Tiffany and Eric are from my home state of New Jersey!  Eric runs a farm business in the South Jersey town of Buena.  The couple says they knew of each other before dating, but ended up reconnecting on Facebook!  The Hyatt Coconut Point Resort & Spa was the perfect destination wedding escape from the cold winter weather of South Jersey!  Although — We did have a burst of unusual cold and cloudy weather come through for this wedding — even a little drizzle, but still much better than South Jersey this time of year.  Despite the conditions, we were able to pull off some great photos!  The groomsmen sported some white Reebok casual sneakers instead of dress shoes.  Wedding Coordinator Krystle Montanez of the Hyatt helped us organize this event.  She also happens to provide great Candy Buffets!  (www.candycouturebuffets.com).  Congratulations to Tiffany and Eric who are now expecting a little one!
