Anna and Patrick traveled all the way from Germany to get married in Naples, Florida!  Both of them enjoy visiting Naples, and it was during a vacation when Patrick asked Anna to marry him by the Naples Pier!  Several months later with the help of April from Simple Elegant Weddings, the couple tied the knot at Wiggins Pass, which is a state park in Naples.  Check out Anna & Patrick’s awesome wedding photos below!  We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset & sky for this Summer Florida wedding.

According to an article in USA Today, more than a third of recent marriages in the USA started online.  The Journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, put the percentage of married couples that now meet online at almost 35%. 45% of couples met on dating sites; the rest met on online social networks, chat rooms, instant messaging or other online forums. Jessica and Steven are part of that 45 percent! They met on the dating site Match.com! Here’s what Jessica had to say about finding love online and why she decided on a Southwest Florida destination wedding.

We actually met on match.com back in 2011. We chose Lovers Key State Park because I had been going down to Ft. Myers Beach with my family since I was young and always dreamed of getting married on the beach. Then, it was Steve and my first trip together and we went to Lovers Key State Park on that trip and loved it.

We were hoping the rain wouldn’t start on Jessica & Steven’s wedding day, and we were able to manage getting through the ceremony without a sprinkle.  We usually do our family and formal images right after the ceremony.  It started to drizzle a bit with some thunder and lighting – but we got it done, and it cleared up enough to grab some amazing shots of the couple.  Summer weddings in Florida always make for an amazing sky during sunset!  Jessica didn’t even mind getting her dress wet towards the end – check out the pics!  Also, thank you Jessica for the amazing review below!

Erin and Josh were recently married at the beautiful Marco Beach Ocean Resort in Marco Island, Florida!  Erin Says:  Josh and I met in Fort Myers Beach, FL when we were both on spring break in high school.  We are high school sweethearts.  We ultimately chose to get married in Marco after my parents bought a home there. We chose the Marco Ocean Beach Resort because it had a great location, the event space was beautiful being so close to the water and it was a smaller, more intimate resort.

Effie and Greg were married at the LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort in Naples, Florida!  They say they met through mutual friends, and their first date was over beer, wings, and football!  Summer weddings in Florida are awesome!  Sure, it can be hot… but we always end up with images with incredible skies!  The sky in the image directly below is not photo-shopped in, that’s how it actually looked!  Usually, Summer storms in Florida don’t last very long, so the chances of it ruining your whole day are slim.  There were huge cracks of thunder towards the end of the couple’s ceremony.  You’ll see pictures below of officiant Dr. Dan Lamey pointing out towards the storm and Effie and Greg laughing about it! 🙂  Here’s what Effie had to say about why she decided on a LaPlaya wedding.

We booked La Playa because we were looking for a beach-side resort that’s quaint with lots of southern charm and character.  La Playa has that gorgeous gulf lawn that was exactly what we were looking for.   After researching many options we knew we had to get married on that lawn!
