We were at the City Tavern last week for Cupcake Camp Fort Myers!

It was all in an effort to raise money for two charities.  Butterflies of Hope, and the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.  Butterflies of Hope is a organization started by two parents after they lost their daughter Rylee to a non curable mitochondrial disease.  Janet Congero and James Anderson want to raise money to research a cure.

There were two simultaneous events going on to raise the cash.  First, there were plenty of cupcakes baked by volunteers.  They were judged, and then later bought by on-lookers.  One of the judges happened to be a FOX4 Fort Myers personality.  The money was then donated to the charities.

There was a silent auction too!

We put one of our photo sessions up for silent auction in an effort to raise some money for the two charities.  The whole event raised $1,633 through silent auction and $741 in cash donations!

Congratulations to Kim Whitty who won our photo session!  We look forward to working with you soon Kim!  Thanks to Lauren and Robyn for taking some pictures at the event!

Krista and Mark are getting married in Naples in October!  These are just some of the photos from their engagement session!  They came out great!  With a little coaxing, they got into the Gulf of Mexico with their regular clothes on! But it was worth it!  Good thing the oil slick from BP hasn’t showed up yet…  These were taken on Barefoot Beach.  It’s one of our most popular hot spots for our couples to get their engagement photos taken.

Check out this great review written by Juliana & Greg about their recent engagement session!  It’s featured on wedding wire.

“Let me start this review stating I was a lucky bride who got a free e-session on a SWFL bridal show. When I first spoke to the photographer, Joe Capasso, I explained to him I already had another photographer booked for my wedding. He was always very professional, polite and understanding about the situation. Communication with him was always very smooth

We did my engagement session at Barefoot Beach, FL, in March 2010, and it was a great time. There was a beautiful sunset framing his amazing shots and my fiancee and I could not be happier with the results. At the same time Joe directed us to some posed shots, he was also able to get some great candid shots. He took over 200 great pictures in a matter of an hour and most of them were used in a slideshow during our reception dinner.

Before working with Joe, I have had 2 previous engagement sessions with some real bad photographers. From an experienced bride, I would tell everyone to always do an e-session before booking your wedding photographer. Too bad I could not have Joe Capasso on my wedding day as he takes great pictures, he will sure be able to capture all special moments of a wedding, plus he is young, fun.. a great person to work with. Thanks a lot for the amazing sunset pictures.

Samantha and Shawn live in Springfield, Massachusetts but came down to Florida to get married!  Their friends helped them throw a small beach wedding at Lover’s Key State Park, in Estero Florida.  They started out in Cape Coral, FL by getting ready at a friends house, and then made the trek to Lover’s Key State Park in Estero, FL.  It’s a nature reserve park, and a great natural beach backdrop for a wedding!  Laura Walker of Ocean Wave Weddings was the Officiant.
