We’ve all seen those save the date ideas on Pinterest with couples holding up chalk boards, or big carved out wooden numbers with their wedding dates on them. We love those shots too, but we wanted to do something different and original this time around. Taryn & Josh’s engagement session took place at Vizcaya in Miami. It’s such an epic location, we needed to come up with an epic idea, and we thought a biplane tugging along a banner would do it! Taryn and Josh are from the Fort Myers, Florida area, but given how awesome Vizcaya is, they didn’t mind the trek across Alligator Alley. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is the former estate of businessman John Deering. Vizcaya was built by Deering in the early 1900’s and sits on the Biscayne Bay. It was modeled after an Italian countryside village. Now, Miami-Dade County owns the property. Vizcaya has been used in several mainstream Hollywood movies including Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Bad Boys II, The Money Pitt, and Any Given Sunday.
